Cabin in the pines

A single room, sixteen by twenty, cut from wind-felled pine and hewn on the site where it stands. The client wanted to see every joint from the loft.

What we learned

Building from trees you felled yourself changes the arithmetic. Every beam has a story, and the frame smells like the forest for a year.
