Machines cut to a coordinate. Hands cut to a line. The difference sounds small and is everything — a machine doesn't know when the wood is fighting back, and a chisel in your hand does.

Tight is a feeling

A tenon that fits is a thing you feel, not a thing you measure. It drops in with a soft thud and holds a vacuum on the way out. You can't CNC that. You can only learn it.
